The wind howls, blowing away any vestiges of doubt or denial about whose I am.
The ½ moon hovers silently overhead.
Church bell wind chimes call forth my praise for the God who made the wind.
Clacking of the still bare tree branches urge me, “onward, onward; waste no time.”
Whirring of the wind generator reminds me of the continuity of the life—spinning on andon even through the winds of change.
God asks, “Who made the wind?”
The wind blows to the south and turns to the north; round and round it goes, ever returning on its course. (Ecclesiastes 1:6 NIV)
for he views the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens. When he established the force of the wind and measured out the waters, when he made a decree for the rain and a path for the thunderstorm, (Job 28:24-26)
Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, (Exodus 14:1 NIV)

This post reminded me of when Job was "touched" by Satan and God allowed all that Job had to be taken away from Him. For 37 chapters Job's "friends" and family told Him to curse God and die - but Job would not! And for 37 chapters Job kept asking God "Why? Why?!" - and there was not a single Word given to Job from the Lord.... AND THEN chapter 38 comes. For the whole chapter God talks to Job. YET God never answered Job's 37-chapters worth of questions. Instead, the Lord began to ask Job questions:
[4] Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
[6] Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
[16] Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?
[17] Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?
[18] Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.
[33] Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?
[34] Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?
[35] Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?
[36] Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?
[37] Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
[38] When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
You know, God DOESN'T HAVE TO give us any answers... or anyTHING, for that matter. He's God. He can do whatever He wants - and it will be right - because God cannot sin, nor will He fail us.
Anyways, sorry for rambling on and on. Your question "Who made the wind?" made me think of Job and all the questions that took place in that story.
My God is good. All the time, He is good!
Thank you for reminding me, with GOD anything is possible...
