Below 10 or Over 10 - What's the rule?
Number below 10 should be written out. If a number is 10 or above, use the figures, rather than write them out:
two tacos
15 job applicants
seven new menu items
55 ways to save money
What's the exception to this rule?
Always use the number, not the word when figures are followed by units of measure:
5 yards
3 pounds
2 tons
